From Jurrasic Park to Darwin's Dilemma, we have heard and seen different views on how we came to exist. On our journey we have meditated on the idea of God, life, facts, religion and science realizing there is no concrete fact in science, just strong belief or faith towards an opinion. If we have learned one thing, it is we place importance and value to what we choose to believe and because of this I would like to hear from you one last time on this topic but basing yourself on supporting evidence. So, when you speak for those around you to acknowledge your wisdom and knowledge over the topic. In groups of two start working on the argumentative essay.
Instructions:
1. Choose one of the following topics
a) evolution b) evolution led me creation c) creation d) Darwinist e) propose your own topic (need to email me before starting to research)
2. Research the topic.
Find supporting theories, contributors, facts, case studies, statistics, charts, figures, etc to support your point of view on the topic.
3. Using the research above, write an argumentative essay following the structure below:
Introduction
Body(present 4 different opinions and supporting facts)
Conclusion
* each opinion is one paragraph from 6 to 8 sentences* a total of 6 paragraphs.
4. Due date: March 5, 2013
